Guten Tag, y’all!
On our balcony, we’ve got two flower boxes that have sat empty since we moved here almost two years ago. I’d often look across the way at our neighbors’ flowers and think “How pretty! We should plant some flowers, too.” But all I’d do is wish, and so the boxes just sat there, flower-less…
…until last week, when The Man got it into his head that we should create a little balcony garden. By Saturday, both flower boxes were filled, along with four other containers (this is not even including the three pots of indoor herbs that now sit in our home office–pictures coming later this week).
All it took was a little bit of action, and my wish became a reality.
I’ve been wishing for a lot of stuff lately. Sure, I’ve been wishing for more sunshine (as all people living in Germany do), but I’ve also been wishing for things that I can make happen, such as: doing something nice for my cousins in America; hanging out in real life with cool women whose blogs I read; getting out to see more of Wolfsburg.
Note to self: all it takes is a little bit of action.
