Guten Tag, y’all!
I don’t say it often enough, but I’m very grateful to every one of you who reads TatianaInFlux. I’m grateful for the friends that I’ve made, and for the community that we’ve formed here. As a small token of my thanks, I’ve decided to do a giveaway featuring two of my favorite things: a copy of the film My Last Day Without You and a copy of the book The Alchemist.
Unfortunately, the DVD can only be played in a Region 2 player (Europe, except Russia, Ukraine and Belarus; Middle East, Egypt; Japan; South Africa; Swaziland; Lesotho; Greenland; and French Overseas departments and territories), but that’s why I’m giving away two things.
THE RULES
1. Leave a comment below saying one thing you’d like to see more of here at TatianaInFlux.com, and specify which item you’d like to win, DVD or BOOK (example: I’d like to see more stories about travel. DVD).
2. The last day to enter is next Wednesday, December 6. Two winners will be selected and announced on Thursday, December 7.
That’s it! Hopefully 2013 will bring more giveaways for y’all.
Good luck, everyone!

Hi! I enjoy reading your stories about life in DE. I’m in Switzerland (still on your to do list?) w/ Swiss hubby and our girls. I would like to hear more about teaching children about the US, especially bc mine have never lived there. Also I love all things curly hair and travel! DVD
Thanks for stopping by, Angelique! Switzerland is most definitely still on my list; I really want to see Geneva.
I will most definitely do a post on American culture; as the Babycakes gets older, I find myself trying to infuse our home with more “American-ness.”
And did you just give me permission to talk about hair more? *does happy dance*
A gave away, yeah!
I love the stories about every day life in Germany. I think I gained two pounds just from your pastry blog.
I’d prefer the DVD, books are too heavy to travel with so I only do e-books these days.
Ha! Got it!
I used to swear I’d never get an e-reader, but now it’s a necessity.
Hey Tat,
I love reading your blog as well. I do enjoy your personal experience stories the best. I would love to hear more about your daily life and what a typical day is like for you. I also would like more pictures. Do you think you guys will come back to the states anytime soon? Even just to visit?
Thanks, Court! I keep thinking that my everyday life is not that interesting, but then something will happen to remind me that I’m not in Kansas–err, Birmingham–anymore.
YES! We will be back for a visit next summer. I’ll email you when I know the exact dates. Woo hoo!!!
I’d love to hear more about how you’re making the transition/adjustment to life in Germany (for example, language courses, cultural difference, your take on Germans/Germany/German culture). Mainly because I’m nosy and people (or in this case nations) fascinate me. And I’d like the DVD (mainly because I haven’t been able to find it here in Belgium and I’ve already read The Alchemist).
Thank you for your comment, ma’am! You aren’t nosy, you’re culturally curious.
Ya know, the other day, I said to my husband, ” It’s kinda warm today.” It was 45F; clearly a sign of progress from a southern girl, right? Maybe I can write about being better adjusted than I thought!
LOL! If 45F is warm, then that’ a HUGE sign of progress. I still complain about being cold in Brussels and I’ve been here for over 2.5 years….and I’m getting ready to move to Denmark soon, so compared to that Belgium is like Florida!
I’m from New Orleans and have been living in Switzerlandfor nearly10 years, but I still think the winteris much too long here!
Hey Tat! I love your personal stories and reading about your German language experiences. I’d really enjoy seeing more posts of your encounters using German.
I’d like the book!
Thanks, E! I’ve got stories galore. Though my German is improving, it’s still in the stage where it sometimes renders me laughable. So there are stories there, too!
